Rate Me Now provides tools for businesses to collect, manage and display customer feedback. For privacy enquiries, contact info@ratemenow.co.uk.
Information we handle
Account information can include your name, email address, contact number, profile image, company membership and sign-in records. Business profiles include a company name, description, website and logo. Testimonials can include a client name, review, rating, town and photographs.
How information is used
We use this information to provide accounts, assign company access, process testimonials, moderate publication, send account and invitation messages, respond to enquiries and maintain service security. Authorised company staff and administrators can manage information within their permitted access.
Public reviews and imports
Published company details and approved testimonials are visible on public pages and may appear in feeds embedded on other websites. They may also be indexed by search engines. Businesses submitting or importing reviews must have appropriate permission to use the names, words and photographs provided. Please do not include passwords, sensitive personal details or information about people who have not agreed to its use.
Photos, location and speech
The Android app can request access to selected photos, the camera, microphone and approximate location when a feature needs them. Location helps identify the testimonial town; coordinates may accompany a submission. If location detection is unavailable, a town can be entered manually. A business-assigned town is not proof of the location where work occurred. Speech-to-text may use the speech service configured on your device; that provider’s privacy information also applies. Rate Me Now does not store a voice recording through its review dictation feature.
Sharing and service providers
Our hosting, database and email services process information needed to operate the service. Published feedback is deliberately shared through public pages and website embeds. Google review syncing and Search Console reporting are not currently connected; any future connection will require an appropriate authorisation and updated information about its use.
Storage and retention
We retain account and business information while it is needed to provide the service, protect its security and handle requests or disputes. Reviews can remain part of a company’s business history when a staff account changes. Backup copies follow the configured recovery policy, currently a three-month target; removal from active pages does not instantly remove copies held in backups or third-party caches. Retention and removal requests are reviewed by authorised staff.
Cookies and device storage
The website uses cookies needed for sign-in, request security and session preferences. The app uses encrypted local storage for session information, remembered login details and unfinished review drafts. Your device’s permission and storage controls remain available. Embedded reviews can load images, illustrations and optional music from Rate Me Now.
Your choices and requests
You can edit available account details and use the app’s Privacy & Account tools to request an account export or ask for removal. We verify identity before releasing private information or handling removal. Collected customer reviews are third-party information, so an account export may contain submission receipts rather than other people’s full content. Security and changes
We use access controls, encrypted connections and other safeguards, but no service can promise complete protection against every risk. We will update this page when the service or its information practices change.
